One Year Of Steps

“Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished."  -Lao Tzu

Making the decision to start a journey through the crowded world of blogging began a year of personal challenges for me.  All it took was one little step - followed by many more little steps - and enough confidence in my abilities to keep going.  It started with a little guidance and hand holding from my husband, and a group of friends.  Soon I let go and "wobbled" my way around the vast online world of writing about children and parenting.  I fell over verbiage I didn't fully understand, took bad photos (and still do occasionally), didn't network enough, and worried if anyone understood, enjoyed, or related to my little corner of the virtual world.

I felt like I hit my stride when I was able to capture and share something my children were truly engaged in, or when I received sweet comments that let me know I helped someone.  I found another gear when I received spikes in page views after sharing something that really spoke to others, and when other bloggers asked for content to share with their readers.

Just like any new job, whether you have your own children, or you look after other people's children, there is a learning curve, so I took small steps.  Sometimes I thought I knew what I was doing, but the universe told me otherwise, and I landed right back on my "bottom."

I have many, many more steps to go, and I'll always be working on my steps; because small steps turn into walking, and walking turns into running, and running turns into jumping, and jumping is like taking really big steps, so it all adds up.  Which is why I'm still finding my comfortable pace, which will allow me to go the distance and continue sharing Little Moments with you.  I'm in no hurry, if I were, I may miss the Little Moments that I love.

These moments are something I hope you continue to identify with because like nature, children shouldn't be hurried, they will accomplish what comes naturally!
